Homework is assigned every Monday. The students are responsible for completing the packet and bringing it back to school on Friday. They are rewarded with a sticker on their Home/School Folder! Please help your child fill out the Reading Log. The expectation is that the students read for at least 20 minutes each day. This can include reading alone, reading with a grownup, or listening to a read aloud. This is an essential part of the weekly homework. Please let me know if you would like book suggestions for your child. I can recommend a popular series and appropriate books for your child's reading level. Our Burlington Public Library has a great selection of books and they are free to borrow! Also, be on the lookout for Scholastic news because there will be monthly opportunities to buy your children new, and reasonably priced, books.
